It is truly thanks to you all that any of this is possible. We instill the values of a community, and each and every one of you has an impact.

This month is all about getting the word out about our work and programs. We will be doing another book drive, and will have the cameras ready to show you all what honest and heart-felt reactions we from providing children with something as simple as a new book to read.

We have been so busy with working with all the new kids and projects, and are excited to tell you about whats coming up for us!

First off, we completed another amazing book drive, and all the kids were so happy to receive even the simple gifts we got them. It brought several of our helpers to tears of joy! :)

Now, we are gearing up for our biggest challenge yet: The Big Day of Giving. We are up against the best non-profits in Northern California, to see how many donations we can get to our GivingEdge site in 24 hours! We need everyone to participate with us, by liking us on Facebook, following our Twitter, and staying tuned as we get closer to the big day. Any donation will help, and you can be part of a memorable experience!

We are always collecting books for distribution to children and for our upcoming book sales to support all the programs. Check this spot for local drop-off locations or contact MMV.

Want to be a hero? Start your own book drive as a community project or if you have a great idea to raise funds and awareness, let us know! We're always interested in new ideas!

Teen parents, mostly teen moms, are so young to be supporting themselves and a baby. Their needs can seem overwhelming, but we can provide structure, support, and motivation to keep taking life step by step. A supply of baby essentials is extraordinarily helpful when a teen mom is balancing school and parenting as well as working with child care. Be that changemaker in a young mother's day!

Booties for Babies, our Supplies & Donation Drive, is scheduled for the month of January 2013 at selected businesses in our community as well as at our organization's headquarters.  Keep checking for more information.

Suggested Items for Donation:

• Diapers (newborn through toddler sizes)
• Baby wipes, teething rings, other baby necessities
• Formula
• Toys, especially educational, new and gently used
• Books, new and gently used
• Gift cards are especially appreciated and always needed!

The Holiday Giving Campaign was one of MMV's most important giving campaigns. This is the time of year when many moms and dads feel the isolation from being in need. Their children feel the isolation from being different. Yet many community members and businesses are willing to give support and assistance.
