Our Children:  The Ultimate Investment

Picture
Imagine being 8 or 9 and not even having a book of  your own. No special story that you will always remember. Before school ends and summer starts, you can help us send elementary school children home with the first book of their own. At least one book!
  • Books for K through 8th
  • Writing tablets and journals
  • Paper and supplies for projects
  • No summer learning gap!
Child by child, you can help us provide small opportunities yielding a big return on every investment.

DONATE NOW and 100% of your donation is invested in opportunities for children and families to be happy and successful where they live, learn, work, and play!

Welcome!

My Mother's Voice (MMV) is a solution-based nonprofit investing in our children, youth, and families. Collaborating with educators and health professionals and with enthusiastic volunteers, we develop bonds with children who will thrive with additional support in education, access to health care, and opportunities in the arts, music, and enrichment activities to discover their talents. When caring adults provide full support from the start, children develop long-lasting healthy relationships. MMV uses a social entrepreneurial approach to build impact with citizen and business sectors, dramatically delivering extraordinary results.

My Mother's Voice offers our volunteers the same meaningful opportunity to impact the lives of children and families. Giving back and giving forward rewards every participant with a greater good.
100% of our donations go to work in our own community.

No Hungry Mondays

Picture
There are over 90,000 local children at risk for hunger!  There's never a day when it's okay for a child to experience true hunger.  As our teachers can verify, often a child comes into school on a Monday, tired and hungry because there was not enough to eat at home over the weekend. We know children who linger around a classroom after Friday dismissal, hoping for an extra snack or protein bar left over from the week.

Lack of access to food is particularly devastating for children. Hunger and inadequate nutrition are linked to poor brain development and lasting educational deficits.

Donate to our No Hungry Mondays campaign, and your donation goes to purchasing healthy "overnight" and weekend food kits distributed to local children who especially need food on days when there is no access to a school cafeteria.   More Information

Address Change

While we are looking for a permanent home, we have made an address change, but our mailing address remains the same.
We still provide the same services, but are looking for our "forever home" and need your help.
If you think you can help us relocate to place suitable for an office and a large area to house all the donations and items necessary to help our families, please contact us to discuss. Thank you for helping your community thrive!
